When rotc cadet goes to field training, the air travel is paid for and they get nothing else. Based on what? Because it appears the contract says otherwise. Federal law might mandate cadets get paid if it's 30 days or longer, but if the contract given says cadets are paid if it's 6 days or longer, the federal law doesn't really apply.
